“The Burn” territory of eastern Washington doesn’t sound like the most abundant of growing regions, but it turns out, the repetitive burning of crops over time actually helped develop rich soil perfect for growing grapes. The vines born from the ashes inspired the story behind this wine and the mythical phoenix on the label. With glimmers of gold and dark splashes of kohl black, this label almost feels alive, thrumming with power.
